To encounter the eminent excellence of these Himalayas, a huge number of mountain climbers and experience searchers from all around the globe come to Nepal every year.

    As any other trek in Nepal, Lower Everest Panorama Trek offers travelers with an awe-inspiring view of the mountain range, but far away from the mainstream trails. It is one of the least traveled area in the Everest region that offers us a dramatic sight of the world’s tallest peak, Mt.Everest at an elevation of 8,848 m. Although the trek takes fewer days to complete, it covers almost every bit of the Everest Base Camp experience including the routes passing through the blooming rhododendron forests, view of the mighty Himalayas including Mt. Makalu (8481 m), Mt. Numbur (6958 m) and Mt. Everest along with the local culture and customs of the famous Sherpa people.
    The Lower Everest Panorama Trek undertaking starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu over the rolling hills and flowing rivers. We explore the remote areas of Kaku and Waku and gently make our way over the high suspension bridges to Namche Bazaar, an ultimate market hub in Solukhumbu Region. En route, we pass through several Buddhists monasteries where the colorful flags and Mani walls do not fail to enchant us with its beauty. The trail leads us through exotic faunas and unique lifestyle of local Sherpa people, which comes off as a treat in between our exhausting climb. The wild orchids and magnolias touch the surroundings giving it a perfect paradise look. The month of March and April are considered as the best season to visit the Lower Everest Region as nature is believed to showcase its beauty to its full potential.

  • Detail Itinerary
    • Day 01 Kathmandu to Phaplu flight and trek to Kaku

      Flight time: 40m
      Trekking time: 5 to hrs

      Our trek to Lower Everest begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phalpu. Phalpu is situated in the western region of Nepal and has sparse settlements. Upon arrival at Phalpu, we climb uphill towards Kaku, passing through local Sherpa villages in the Solukhumbu region. Overnight at a lodge at Kaku.

    • Day 02 Kaku to Waku, trekking time: 7 to 8 hrs

      After early morning breakfast, we ascend through rocky trails amidst the foggy clouds, enjoying and admiring the lush green hills as we finally reach Waku. Waku village also has a few local Sherpa people settlements. Overnight at Waku.

    • Day 03 Waku to Danki trekking time: 6 to 7 hrs

      We can see heavy layers of clouds and the Himalayan range peaking from behind it as we make our way up the hill. The Rai village mesmerizes us with the view of the giant Himalayas. We spend the night at a like homestay and gather our strength for the next day trek. 

    • Day 04 Danki to Sibuche trekking time: 5 to 6thrs

      After a healthy breakfast, we move ahead and upward walking through the hill towards Sibuche, we come across diverse landscapes and cattle sheds. The terrace fields in the region add more beauty to nature and eventually leads us to Sibuche where we spend the night at a hotel.

       

    • Day 05 Sibuche to Paiya trekking time: 7 to 8 thrs

      After early morning breakfast, we stumble upon the uphill rocky trail that leads us to Pangom. En route, we pass through a zigzag jungle trail till we reach Kharte Hill. After we move down on a gradual elevated path all the way through the jungle to Paiya.

    • Day 06 Paiya to Phakding trekking time: 7 to 8 hrs

      Embarking on the trail leading us towards Phakding, we might come across a few porters carrying a load of things in his back, hikers may have a short break and stretch their bodies for the further trek. we are now entering the more touristic area of the region as we move along the bushy forests, mani stones and of course the beautiful rocky mountains. Overnight at a lodge at Phakding.

    • Day 07 Phakding to Namche bazar trekking time: 7 to 8hrs.

      The trail from Phakding to Namche is very well known, consisting of high suspension bridges over rivers and steep uphill steps. We come across many prayer wheels that gives us an understanding of Buddhist societies and customs and the views of mountains like Thamserku, Kusum Khangkaru, might as well of the Everest is just incredible. Overnight at a hotel at Namche.

       

    • Day 08 Namche to KhumJum trekking time: 4 to 5 hrs.

      Namche is a market hub for porters, yak herders, and trekkers walking up to Everest Base Camp. Enjoying the life and lifestyle of local Sherpa, we advance uphill towards Khumjung. We explore a few Gompas, picturesque villages and the magnificent view of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Everest at the horizon as we reach the beautiful valley of Khumjung. We can go around a town and look around the school, the hospital founded by Edmund Hillary and is the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first Nepali to conquered the top of the world along with Edmund Hillary in the year 1953.

    • Day 09 Rest day at Khumjung.

      An acclimatization day is essential in each trek so as to adjust to the encompassing and environment of the place. However, we do not stay idle and explore the Khumjung village. We visit a place called Edmund Hillary viewpoint at the height of 3949m and get an extraordinary view of the surrounding more mountains including Everest, Thamserku, Island Peaks and many more and the whole town below. We then move down to spend the day and overnight at the guesthouse at Khumjung.

    • Day 10 Khumjung to Phakding trekking time: 5 to 6 hrs.

      We descend along the way through Edmund Hillary School. We then do a little bit of ascent where we will be invited by the magnificent view of Everest, Lhotse Se, Ama Dablam, etc while we connect the traditional route down to Namche following the rough trails, going through high suspension connect over Dudh Koshi River and advance toward Phakding. The Sherpa hospitality and culture in the region is remarkable. Overnight at a lodge in Phakding.

    • Day 11 Phakding to Lukla trekking time: 4 to 5 hrs.

      After early morning breakfast, we trek back to Lukla. We walk across few more swinging bridges before reaching to Lukla. Overnight at a hotel.

    • Day 12 Lukla to Kathmandu, Flight time: 30m.

      As we come to the end of our journey, the last half an hour thrilling flight over the rolling hills and the mesmerizing mountains is precious. We enjoy the peak of the Himalayan giants from above the clouds as we land to Kathmandu airport.
