The views from the villages stretches from Buddha himal, himalchuli and manaslu to the northeast Mt. Lamjung (6932m) and Annapurna II (7939m) and Annapurna IV (7525m) to the north and Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6993m) and Annapurna south (7219m) to the northwest. The approach to ghalegaun – Ghanapokhara is a wonderful experience, the mists of the early morning, the beautiful khudi and minim rivers, beautiful rhododendrons chirping sound of the birds simply takes one to the faraway place and completely with the nature, the trekking route passes through the dense forests, villages and awesome waterfalls.

    • Day 1 Kathmandu to Pokhara (884m)

      Driving time: 6 hours

      The mountain scenery along the drive looks like a magnificent amphitheatre of staggering scale and the scenes in the passing villages are astonishing. You will spend the night in Pokhara, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the ambience of Lakeside, or have a short walk around the valley and check out the restaurants and shops.

    • Day 2 Pokhara to Pakhrikot / Nangidhara (1900m)

      Driving time: 6 hours

      Trekking time: 3 to 4 hours


      Pokhara to Thumsikot drive. The drive is a very exciting drive, the rough roads, the awesome beauties, the flora and fauna that one gets to see is simply awesome. One can also enjoy the beautiful begnas lakes and other seven lakes of the region. After the initial easy trek, it now will be a tough ascend for Nangidhar and Pakhrikot, beautiful gurung village lying at an altitude of (1900) meters.

    • Day 3 Nangidhar to Passgaun

      Trekking time: 5 hours

      The trek starts with several hours straight walk and the trekking routes passed through jungles, beautiful waterfalls and the chirpings of the birds, then after it is a straight descend for another 2hours for a place called bagaicha, for lunch. After lunch continuously working to pasagaun village. This village is much more cleanly compared to the Nangidhar or pakhrikot and even the food is good and even the beds are much more comfortable.

    • Day 4 Passgaun to Ghalegaun: (1800m)

      Trekking time: 6 to 7  hours


      The longest day of the trekking, it starts with a descending for about 3 hours and again ascended for another 3 hours. One can stop for Bhujung for lunch or even stay overnight. Bhujung, a compact and a densely populated village look really attractive from little down and on its way to the village.

    • Day 5 Ghalegaun to Kathmandu via Khudi (790m)

      Trekking time: 4 hours

      Driving time: 7 hours


      Down hill one has to continuously down trek for almost four hours before one can stop for lunch at khudi. The trail passes through the beautiful forest, if you are lucky enough you will also get to see some of the wildlife this area holds a tremendous potentiality for birds watching. It really can be a birdwatcher’s paradise.
